Exeter City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jack Bycroft on a two‑year contract, subject to EFL approval.
The 23‑year‑old shot‑stopper most recently played at Swindon Town and arrives with experience across multiple levels of English football.
Jack progressed through the Southampton academy and accrued valuable experience on loan at Weymouth, Dorchester Town, Taunton Town, Aldershot Town and Oxford City, before joining League Two side Swindon Town on a permanent deal in January 2024.
During the 22/23 season at Taunton Town, he made 48 appearances and kept 19 clean sheets, which earned him a place in the National League South Team of the Season. Jack has also represented England at under‑19 level, making an appearance in 2019.
Last season Jack featured 25 times for Swindon Town across the 24/25 campaign, keeping five clean sheets.

Jack has been training with the club for the last couple of weeks and featured as a trialist in City’s pre-season friendly at Torquay United.
Manager Gary Caldwell said: “We wanted to get a young goalkeeper permanently that can push Joe (Whitworth) and have the potential to become a future No.1.
“We’ve looked at a few over the summer on trial and Jack fits the profile of someone who has had minutes in League Two and is a young ‘keeper with good pedigree from Southampton. Working alongside Joe will bring out the best in him so we are delighted to get him in.”
Jack will wear the No.23 shirt.
Welcome to City, Jack!
