Grecians to make visit to Plainmoor

Exeter City will visit neighbours Torquay United on Friday 31st July for a pre-season friendly at Plainmoor, kicking off at 7.30pm.

The Gulls finished 13th in the Vanarama Conference last season, following their relegation out of the Football League in 2014.  Aaron Dawson moved to Torquay from Exeter in the January transfer window where he joined former Academy coach Chris Hargreaves, who currently occupies the manager’s chair at Plainmoor.

Torquay 2-0 winners in a pre-season game at St James Park a year ago, thanks to goals by Ryan Bowman and Jordan Chapell.

The fixture comes eight days before the start of the Sky Bet League 2 season, which is due to commence on Saturday 8th August 2015.

It is the fourth friendly fixture that has been announced for the Grecians in the build-up to 2015/16, with matches also due to take place against Weston-super-Mare, Fluminense Under-19 and AFC St Austell.

Further details including ticket arrangements will be announced closer to the fixture.
