An Exeter City Vets team takes on England Vets in a charity match at the Cliff Hill Training Ground on Sunday at 2pm.
The match, organised by City's goalkeeping coach Kevin Miller is a 2pm kick-off with funds being raised for Mind over MND. There is free parking at the Training Ground and the refreshment hut will be open.
Speaking ahead of the game Kev said: "We do it every year. We try and arrange a game for charity. We did one at Cullompton in the summer for Danny Bailey for Prostate Cancer, which went down really well. The chairman of Bridgwater put a huge donation in for the charity, which was really gratefully appreciated.
"This one came up where Andy, who does the England Vets contacted me after he saw that we played games. They're down in Torquay this weekend, so they're playing Friday night against Torquay at Coach Road.
"The charity this time is Mind over MND, which the Club has worked closely with, and obviously with Pete Eveleigh - so it's a charity that's really worthwhile."
When asked who is likely to feature on the Exeter City Vets side, Kev said: "Danny Bailey, Scott Walker that used to work here, we've roped Scotty in, he doesn't play in any other games because we've mentioned England, he thought he'd chuck that one in. Kevin Hill's making a guest appearance for us from Exmouth Town, which would be good.
"Trying to get Arran Pugh in, whether he'll play or not, I don't know. People like Gary Rice coming are in, Richard Pears, who was here, this is the academy, so there's going to be some old boys that are coming in, I'm trying to find someone older than me to play, which is difficult, but I think we've got about 16 or 17 that are in the squad."
When asked what fans can expect to see from the City side, Kev said: "We will probably be hungover from Saturday night firstly... It'll be just enjoyable because we're playing on the Astro so the surface will be good.
"At the back end of Covid we played after Exeter played Tiverton in a pre-season game on the Friday, we went up and watched it and I hadn't seen some of the lads for probably 20 years and you sort of go back into your old ways and it was brilliant to see them. So it is nice to get together and have a good laugh."
So head on down and show your support on Sunday!
