Johnly Yfeko made his long-awaited return to the pitch on Tuesday night's draw with Reading, now the defender is looking forward to the prospects that this weekend's clash with Rotherham United might create.

After suffering injury following City's 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon at St James Park back in December, Johnly Yfeko was rewarded with weeks of hard work off the pitch as he was re-introduced to the team in City's 2-2 draw with Reading on Tuesday.

"It's been tough at times, I find it easier when the boys are here and I'm around the boys. Just seeing how well the boys have been doing in the league and the form that they picked up has given me motivation."

"Tuesday night was a really good point on the board, and I think the point will become even bigger if we get the win on Saturday."

City come into this one on the back of some fantastic form that has been building over the previous number of weeks, with Yfeko believing resilience is the key to the Grecians' success at this moment in time.

"I think it's just resilience really, I think we just keep doing what we're doing. Don't let any outside noise get into the training ground or the dressing room."

"Just taking on what the manager has been saying, we know that we're a good team in this league, and I think when we're bang on it we can be anyone."

Johnly closes with thanking the fans for their continued support, and is pleased that the team are able to reward the efforts in the stands with results on the pitch.

"The last couple months, to just see the joy on their faces after the games is what's keeping the boys going."

"We all know that they deserve it, and they've been behind us all the time."
