Lakyle Samuel impressed on his home debut as Exeter City drew 1-1 with Barnet at St James Park.
Speaking at full-time, Lakyle summarised his feelings: "I think there's positives to take from the game against a good side who started the season well. Obviously, with us at the moment it's been a bit chaotic with some stuff, but I think we've dealt with it really well and you know, we can take positives from it but also we feel like we had enough chances to win the game."
After a first half that saw the Grecians in the driving seat, Lakyle told us what was said in the changing rooms during the break: "Really just to keep on winning the first ball and, you know, keep on progressing with the ball higher up the pitch and getting it wide because I think at times we had the beating of their full backs."
The importance of home form is a hot topic at the moment, with Lakyle sharing his stance on it: "The fans help massively with it. They get behind us every match day and we use that to fuel our performances, obviously against Accrington it was a more positive result but tonight against a top team it doesn't always go your way. But I think it's just how we bounce back and play on Saturday."
