Exeter City interim manager Matt Taylor was left frustrated as an offside goal cost the Grecians against League Leaders Lincoln City at SJP.
Tom Hamer's header sealed three points on a night that City pushed the team top of the table all the way.
Speaking after the match, Matt said: "It's disappointing to lose the game. I was frustrated at half time because I didn't feel that we showed enough of what we are about with and without the ball and the goal was offside so that is another kick in the teeth for a team low in confidence.
"I felt we played like we were on the run we have been on started a bit tentative and didn't believe in ourselves and they put us under pressure. But I felt there was so much more to come from the group and as the second-half went on and the changes we made to the team and the structure I was generally pleased without making any clear cut chances."
