Exeter City Women return to St James Park looking to extend the lead at the top of the National League South West Division One with victory over visiting Maidenhead United.
Ed Jackson Sankey’s side have had a positive season to date, currently sitting in eighth position and comfortably clear of the relegation places. The Magpies arrive at the park in good recent form, picking up eight points in their last five league games, United securing 1-1draws in their last two league fixtures against Abingdon United and Southampton Women’s FC.
Simone O’Brien has again had an impressive season for Maidenhead United, the popular forward hitting twelve goals in all competitions. O’Brien has been well supported by Isabella Stockon with eleven goals and Imogen Fisher who has achieved three player of the match awards alongside her four goals. The two sides have already met once this season, the Grecians victorious at York Road with a 6-2 win. Goals from Manfy Sharpe (2), Zoe Watkins (2), Sarah Stacey and Mollie Taylor seeing City home in an entertaining contest in which Stockton and Megan Halfacree replied for the hosts. The Berkshire side will travel with confidence, United were the last team to leave Devon with three points, a Simone O’Brien strike condemning City to a home League defeat back in January 2022.
Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley’s side are on the hunt for promotion and only the league title will see them achieve that goal. With the Grecians missing out on goal difference last season every game and goal is of significance and they will be hoping for a clinical afternoon against a well organised Maidenhead side. With three quarters of the season complete and AFC Bournemouth chasing City mercilessly, the fight to the finish line is well underway.

Ticket Office – You can claim pre ordered tickets from 12.30pm, with any remaining tickets for the game available for sale on the day.

Centre Spot – Will be open from 11.30am for your pre match drinks.
Junior Grecian Zone – Is open from 12pm. Table football, PS5s, big screen TVs and face painting!
Target SHOT – If the weather is kind to us, the inflatable target shot will be up to practice your shooting skills.
